"Spring" Fling

For the few of you viewers who do NOT live in Alaska :) spring doesn't mean flowers here...it just means the snow changes its texture (in Fairbanks/North Pole anyway). Our driveway is extremely slick with packed snow and a thin sheen of water from melting on top. Timothy had a good time flinging Mary across it, and I think Mary had a pretty good time spinning and sliding...she didn't even cry when she hit the garage ! (it wasn't bad - I promise).

Thank you for sharing. Nothing like getting to fling children. They're so light and move so fast. It kind of reminds me of that ice bowling game. (not sure what it's called) Someone shoves a round stone with a stick and someone else smoothes the track with a broom to make it go farther. Might try that with Mary! Love you all, Rm

Yep, it's called curling...Littie and Timothy went to the Fairbanks Curling Club a couple of times in the fall with the charter school (a PE activity). I've not yet seen it for myself. Are y'all still getting fresh snow?

It's been snowing here all day. Very light and fluffy. It's warmed up to 0 F, so there ought to be a lot of kids out with sleds this afternoon.

I'll bet Mary was having a blast! It's amazing that she could go SO far without a hill! :)
