We've tried scooping out the water...
We've tried cleaning the gutters to redirect the water...
We've dug ditches to drain the water...
We've tried moving the snow before it becomes water...
We've given up and decided to just play in the water.

What was the temperature? I know the picture shows the snow melting but, your children are walking around in shorts and barefoot with snow still everywhere. Seems a little strange to me!!!!!!

It got up to 50 that day which I know doesn't sound all that warm, but the sun was shining and it felt really nice. It was cool enough for a jacket in the shade though.
Why still so much snow? Well, we've had a lot this year, had a lot late in the season, and the temps have just recently begun to stay above freezing all during the day. So it's spring weather, we just have a lot of "leftover" winter hanging around being pesty:) It gets up to 85 or so in summer here so it surely can't hang around much longer! (Just a note: despite all the negatives, we do like winter...just gets to feeling a little long around April.
