As some of you know, Cader is our resident ditch digger, drain specialist and now we can add bridge builder. He saw a great need in our back yard and filled that need. We are the proud owners of this wonderful bridge
inches off our patio. If our yard looked like anything or if we had done some landscaping, I might not have let him put this "right" next to the patio. As it is, we now have a bridge to cross if the water ever gets real high in our back yard. I'm not sure how that would happen since we live on a hill, but just in case. : )

Here is Cader showing off his missing tooth. The lower, middle two are just coming in good; since this picture the top two fell out within two weeks of each other. He looked pretty cute with a big, blank grin.

I wanted to share a picture that was taken of my Pokeeno girls this past Christmas. Unfortunately noone wanted to be in front, so some hid behind the others. Kimberlee, you will notice Gayla is holding up some Peeps. She did manage to get the green sugar off her face before the pictures were taken. : )

Wow, did he build that by himself? I mean it has to be pretty sturdy for him to be standing on it, huh? Sounds like he's starting an engineering career early, very early. I have to say I always liked fiddling with water and drainage and ditches and still do, but all the puddles are still frozen right now :( There's a place in our yard that Cader would sure enjoy during break-up ...every year at the peak of snow melting/water standing, there's a low place that has almost a foot of water standing in it. It really needs a place to drain to. Does he hire out?
Thanks for sharing,
Jackie
Cader hires out for certain parts of a job. Usually Dad is hired to help with nailing odd pieces. Using the nail/brad gun is the modern way to build things now, so there isn't as much "labor" involved. But, he did design and work on the project, especially hammering in the post. :) I'll check on his schedule for times available for hire during your thawing time.
