It's Finally Happening!
After posting photos of the kids each starting their various schools/jobs in the fall, I was "encouraged" to do the same for myself when I started nursing school in January. So here it is - me and all my gear. And Tim bought me a really nice backpack with a padded laptop section to carry it all in. One of those books weighs in at eight and a half pounds! Thankfully I don't ever have to carry them all at once.

Great photo! I'm so proud of you for getting back on that horse, Jackie. I know it's a lot bigger horse after twenty years and four kids. Of course, you could probably use that stack of books to boost you up a little! :) Love you!
That's a cute analogy. I'm now in week 4 and I'm beginning to feel like I can "breath".
So I learned something today that I always wondered about...why anesthesia causes nausea - which is also why they only give you ice chips at first...the anesthesia slows or stops the peristaltic movement of your intestines, so if too much enters your GI tract it just comes back up. Kinda cool to know that after going through it 6 times!
