Surprise! Extended Holiday

Not sure about those of you in other places in AK, but here in North Pole/Fairbanks we are under a winter (ice) storm warning. If I remember right, this is the first time we've seen school closure due to weather since we've been in AK. It's funny though, because the problem is that the temperature is not cold enough for this time of year. The roads are covered with a half inch or more of ice, so driving is being discouraged. So we're getting a week off for Thanksgiving - the way it used to be - yeah!

Tim and the kids made this snow man in the rain. The snow sure sticks together well when it's that wet.

Is someone kissing the snowman?

The next photos are of some of Mary's indoor activities of the last month.

Here she's Sally Robot

Snack time art.

This next one really made me laugh. She asked if she could have some leftover scrap fleece to make some doll clothes. I know how hard and time consuming doll clothes are so I said "Sure, you can try...maybe you could just use some tape." And boy did she...

And yes, that is brown duct tape:) I think she needs you Grandma.
