Drought -> Fire -> Smoke -> RAIN ! :)

As many of you know, there are several fires burning in our area. Thankfully, our property is not in danger, but the smoke and ash have affected everyone in one way or another. Timothy's team won 2nd in state, so they were headed to the NW regional tournament in Utah at 10pm last night. Their flight was cancelled due to smoke. They rescheduled for the early morning flight, but smoke conditions remained unchanged. Sooo, they will try again tonight. (Lucia, you made it out just in time :)
The good news is that IT'S RAINING this morning - see the nice little puddles :) The online weather almanac for yesterday showed we've had .01 inches of rain in the last month.
Off subject - were down to 14 logs now. Thanks to all who helped contribute to the effort.

So, how are the fires around you doing? Have you been getting the rain that we've gotten? It drizzles almost everyday or everyother day this month it seems.
How close has it actually gotten to you?

Yes, we've been getting the same kind of weather - drizzling nearly every day. There was a short break Saturday, just in time for Timothy's 16th birthday party though. It was a nice gift - he and his friends played ulimate frisbee, baseball, basketball and roasted hotdogs it was a perfectly clear afternoon. By morning it was raining again.

The fires were put out when the rain started 2-3 weeks ago. Just in time for the fair :) It never got very close to us, thankfully.
