April had to show everybody that country girls ain't afraid of little ole snakes neither!

Daniel and Luke rode with our colleagues, Bob & Linda Pittman.
Every time a canoe passed us the oarsmen would chant "Give money! Give money!" and point at our oarswoman. The other tourists in our boat would politely reply, "Good morning," back to them because they didn't quite catch the meaning.

Jim asked the lady paddling our boat how much she was paid and she said 13,000/trip. She usually made 1 - 3 trips a day. That's about 75 cents a trip. $2.25 a day. That's why they rely so much on the tourists to "Give money!"

For all you safety enthusiasts, here is a fire safety training for police officers we observed while waiting for our boat at the Mekong river.

One officer had a fire extinguisher and the other had a blanket. All this took place on the street, in front of regular businesses.

I'm ending with these two pictures of Luke touring the Mekong Delta. One from 2008 and the other from 2000. I asked Luke if he thought he had changed much and he said his hair is longer now.

We Love you all!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow, looks like we have the next Crocodile Hunter in the family :) Just make sure you stay away from those stingrays.
This is the first I've seen of Luke with his "long" hair. I can't believe how different he looks. I really don't think I would have know him if you hadn't named him in the picture. In fact I only realize he was in the snake pic AFTER I saw the comparison pics.
Thanks so much for catching us up. Great seeing you all.
