2 BIG EVENTS

Miss Littie got her provisional driver's license this week and took her first drive without an adult present. In Alaska there are 3 steps to getting a first time license...first you get a learner's permit for at least 6 months with which an adult must be present while driving. Then the provisional (must be 16) must be held for another 6 months with which no one other than family can ride with you in the car. Then if you get no violations during that time, you can get a regular driver's license. A little complicated, but seems to be a pretty good system to me :)

Next BIG EVENT...a new car to eventually share...

...2003 Honda Pilot...

...auto all wheel drive...should be steady on the ice...

(Okay, I'm a little jealous here)
...with remote start and keyless entry and a CD player...

Here's Littie (and Timothy) returning from her first drive. She's a little nervous but very excited that she doesn't have to ride the bus to school anymore. Mom's very happy that she'll have help transporting people to practices, lessons, and other various activities :)

Lastly, a big THANK YOU to Tim for doing the research, the shopping and the buying AND to the state of Alaska for dividends which paid for the car and the insurance to cover it :)

Littie! I'm so proud of you! I have a friend that has a Pilot and loves it. She has a bad back and said it is very comfortable. It looks good with you in it. : )

Love you! Rm
